SEO Manager

We are looking for an experienced SEO Manager who is adept at both executing SEO strategies and managing a team of analysts. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SEO best practices, a track record of successful SEO campaigns, and strong leadership skills. This role will involve hands-on optimization tasks as well as overseeing the work of other SEO professionals. Prior experience in an agency setting, the ability to handle multiple clients simultaneously, and comfort with client-facing interactions and account management are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement SEO Strategies:
    • Create, execute, and manage comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic.
    • Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and website audits to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Content Optimization:
    • Collaborate with content creators to ensure SEO best practices are implemented in content creation and website updates.
    • Optimize on-page elements including meta tags, headings, URL structures, and internal linking.
  • Technical SEO:
    • Oversee and execute technical SEO tasks such as site speed optimization, mobile optimization, and crawl error resolution.
    • Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code.
  • Offsite Authority Building:
    • Develop and execute strategies to build offsite authority and enhance the website’s reputation and visibility in search engines.
    • Manage relationships with external partners, influencers, and industry leaders to foster offsite authority.
  • Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of SEO analysts, providing guidance and professional development.
    • Assign tasks, set deadlines, and monitor the progress of the team to ensure project goals are met.
  • Client Management:
    • Handle multiple client accounts simultaneously, ensuring each receives high-quality and timely SEO services.
    • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients to report progress, results, and adjustments to strategies.
    • Comfortable with client-facing interactions, providing expert advice and building strong client relationships.
  • Performance Analysis and Reporting:
    • Track, analyze, and report on key SEO metrics such as organic traffic, rankings, and conversions.
    • Use data-driven insights to refine and improve SEO strategies.
  • Stay Current with SEO Trends:
    • Keep up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry developments.
    • Implement new techniques and tools to stay ahead of competitors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in SEO with a proven track record of successful SEO campaigns.
  • Prior experience working in an agency setting and managing multiple client accounts.
  • Strong understanding of SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and other SEO applications.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO.
  • Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Shopify).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable with client-facing interactions and account management.
  • Preferred experience with Asana or other project management tools.
